Kasargod: Three including father, son killed in tanker-scooter collision |

| \Kasargod, Three persons including father and
son were killed in a tragic accident between a tanker and scooter on
Manjeshwar-Kunjathur highway here on Sunday March 10. The deceased have been identified as Kunjathur Sannadka resident Abubakar (50), his son Samad (13) and Ashrad Moulvi (45), a teacher in a Madrasa at Hosangady.        The four were returning by scooter from Udyavar mosque near Talapady. When they reached Kunjathur junction, a gas tanker plying from Talapady to Kasargod town rammed into them. While Abubakar was killed on the spot, Ashraf and Samad passed away on the way to hospital. Samad was a standard 8 student of Sahadiya school here. The tanker driver escaped the accident unhurt. Abubakar, who had three children, was from a poor family and used to earn a livelihood by selling groundnuts. Now the family is in dire straits with two deaths and another son battling for life in the hospital. Traffic was stalled for about two hours due to the accident. Manjeshwar police have registered a case. | |||
